Speaking of Petticoat Junction, Richard Datin, the fellow who built the train and hotel miniatures for it was also builder of the 3 foot and 11 foot models for original Star Trek; and a founding member, original curator, I think, of Nevada State Railroad Museum. Look up a book titled The Enterprise and the Model Maker by Nancy Datin McDonald and Richard Datin Jr.
