These weren't rebuilt by BN. In 1990-91 there were three classes. GP-39E, GP-39M and GP-39V. The Es were rebuilt by EMD, the Ms by Morrison Knudsen and the Vs by VMV.

I'll accept that correction. I wrote it in the sense that BN commissioned the rebuilds; not that they performed the work in their own shops. However, I did not fully communicate that idea. Thanks for the clarification and the additional information on the three different rebuild shops.
