I recall driving the parkway 35 years ago. The "Norfolk and Western Railway" sign was in good condition back then. I see the "tern" section has fallen on the roadway. I did some research & learned N+W was a supplier of coal & coke to the any steel mills in the Pittsburgh area 100 years ago. I would loved to have seen a big steam locomotive pulling a consist across that trestle. It's a shame that sign was let deteriorate. It should at least been removed and preserved.
