Well captured. But that view beyond the trains? Mega-hideous!

Craig, Exceptional background & incredible photo. We see the wonderful technology of the railroads on a regular basis, however, the wind turbines in back are another technology, not only ingenious, but necessary.

Hideous hardly begins to cover it.

And where does the spur lead as it is signaled? Strange siding to be locked in with a signal to boot.

Stunning photo! 2 thumbs up!

Indeed. The backdrop is stunning and beautiful. Given the accelerating pace in retirement (and conversion to NG) of coal-fired generating facilities I suspect the future may hold more photos like this than of trains hauling around the poison rock.

I'd rather have these windmills than smoggy brown skies!
As for the spur ... It is a mystery. It isn't very long, and is completely fenced - and has its own signal! I suspect it may be for unloading windmill parts, but the spur is only long enough to handle one 89' car (and windmill parts are usually shipped on a pair of them due to the blades' overhang).

I find the background ''fascinating''! I also noted the fenced in siding with 'protection' signal and a Blue "D" for added curiosity. Craig this is a very nice photo. Congrats!
