Posted by Scott Haugland on February 8, 2015  I caught these two units on 2-5-15, trailing behind CSX AC4400CW 392 working a westbound stack train between Estrella and Shawmut on UP's Gila Sub deep in Arizona. It was my first ever encounter with a C40-8M, or any "Draper Taper" equipped unit for that matter. Unfortunately, I was four to five-hundred feet up a mountain a half-mile away on a horribly hazy morning at the time they rolled by! The video I shot came out better than I expected though. I should have it posted on my YT channel in a day or two.
