I remember the one and only time I rode a Talgo train set I thought it was the roughest ride I ever experienced in my life! That was a number of years ago and have not changed my mind. I think the single axle has a lot to do with the rough ride. Nice shot Marty, thanks for sharing.

That ugly passenger ruins a beautiful shot of an ex BN Geep. Passenger trains are god awful ugly to make them more aerodynamic. Goes to show aerodynamics doesn't equate to good looks.

The shape has little to do with aerodynamics and everything to do with crashworthyness. I'm sure the engineer's life it saves will think it is extremely beautiful.
