That's a great looking display. Elko was founded by the railroad, it's nice to see that recognized, though, the Central Pacific was first through, followed by Southern Pacific through it's control of CP by way of lease in 1885. Western Pacific, not the original which was formed in 1862 and absorbed into the CP, but rather, the second WP, formed in 1903 which built a route parallel to the SP. Interestingly, both lines are now owned by UP which bought both the WP line and the SP line (by way of merger with the DRG&W (1996) which was then the owner of the SP by way of an acquisition in 1988).
