That truly is a blast from the past. United Aircraft did about as well building trains as Boeing did building steetcars. But that's what makes it such a classic picture.

A blast from the past regarding the station too - today there's an additional "express" (or sometimes layover) main track through the station and additional "island" platforms providing station access from 4, rather than 2, tracks. Not to mention that catenary!
