This is fantastic, David! I have F. C. 's watercolor rendition of this scene framed on my wall. I have never seen the actual photo until now.

Frank's watercolor is great. It's on my list for framing for the office, but I am s-s-slow. Glad you like the image. I was mostly a lazy wedge shooter, but once in a while tried for a little variety in my photos. Really miss 'old' Opelika. It's a pretty sterile place nowadays...

Probably my favorite fanning location ('70s - not now). Traffic was not very heavy on either main, but there were several locals and switch jobs, so not too much dead time.
