The history of this cab is hard to track down, but apparently it comes from a lot of cabooses which were absorbed into the ICG when the railroad took its short term possession of the Columbus and Greenville in Mississippi. From 1972 to 1974, ICG owned the line, and did little to help it and more to hurt it. Taking two brand new SD locomotives from the CAGY, several cabooses, and a number of switching locomotives. Interestingly enough, when CAGY was purchased by another owner in 1974, the two SD locomotives were part of the purchase, and were to be returned to CAGY, however ICG never bothered to do it.
