50 years ago I fired an 0-4-0T saddle tank engine #29 on this same loop as a volunteer at the museum. Inside the standard gauge loop was another one foot gauge loop with another small steamer that was operated by a retired Milwaukee Road Engineer in his 80's who's name escapes me at this time. The Engineer I fired for was Dave Vannes and Conductor was John Weir. All three of us eventually went to work for the Milwaukee Road Dave in the Engineering Dept. and John and I went into the Operating Dept.. Except for the diesel this photo brings back some fond memories for me....Thanks Josh....Tom. PS...worked with a Cleary on the SOO years ago any relation?

Thanks Tom for the comment. I do not believe I ever had any relatives who worked for the Soo.
