Very nice photo and summary. These rock cuts remind me so much of the cuts along CSX's EK division (east of Winchester, KY) that I had to look twice at your photo. I hope the new company is successful.

@jdayrail. Thank you for the compliment. It is a very pretty area. I cannot wait to go scope it all out in the fall colors. There are some tunnels I want to get there as well. They are doing quite well actually. They have a couple potential new customers and just received a grant to replace 20,000 ties and upgrade a grade crossing. I will post some more pics, granted they are accepted....

@JamesStewart, Not to my knowledge. This is the ex-B&O St. Louis line in Vinton county. I know Amtrak ran it in the 1980's from Chillicothe to Athens Ohio, but the line has been removed east of Zaleski (Red Diamond) at the Austin Powder Explosives Plant. This also used to be double track with multiple trains per day.
