Something about having Shay and speed restriction in the same sentence amuses me given that one wasn't exactly likely to find a Shay keeping the 400 or Hiawatha to the advertised timetable.
(and yes, I do know that mass, vibration, harmonics, can require speed restrictions no matter what the local speed category is)
