Hi Van Pass north of DaNang. This was a favorite place for sabotage during the Viet Nam war of the 1960's-1970's. As one can see, the mountains come right down to the South China Sea. I drove over the pass a number of times (the road is out of view and at a higher elevation) during 1970-71.
