Nice shot! Were any of these F's preserved with this paint?

I'm not aware of any. A couple BN Fs were painted in their executive scheme and may survive at the Illinois rr museum.

In 1982, BN retired an F9 and painted it up in its original NP livery at their Portland, OR shops and donated it to the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railway. It now spends much of its time around their shops at Mineral, WA on the former Milwaukee Road Morton Sub.
