Is this the UP counterpart to the D&RGW Ford FAST (#79)? The GT, NW and other auto parts boxcars & autoracks are a fair clue as to this train's origin. As I recall, UP and Rock Island alternated every few months with MOPAC and D&RGW to handle high-priority auto parts and set up auto business from the midwest (DT&I Flat Rock Yard/Detroit) to Milpitas, CA and the Ford plant there. The Milpitas Ford plant shut down in the early 80s.
