Posted by Russell Wiggins on April 6, 2014  If I recall correctly, the DE SD40's were actually built in '72 - after production of the Dash 2 version was underway. Posted by Matt Hultman on March 8, 2016  The first 6 were built in April 1970. The next 5 were built in July 1972.
