Back when I was a Conductor on the CP, I used to wonder what would happen if there was an accident on that bridge. If that's the bridge that I'm thinking of, there used to be a kink in the middle of it. I remember going over it the 1st time, thinking that we were going to go off the tracks.

While I know it's just melting snow, the tank car looks like it's nervously sweating: "Hurry up and fix me so we can get out of here!"

I wonder if the bridge had the two inner guard rails that many railroads use to help catch the wheels and prevent them from going over the edge? I've heard some old-timers swear by them, and some MOW personnel swear at them.

How fortunate they realized it and got stopped. A car that far back could travel a far piece with a wheel off the rails before being discovered or... well, thankfully it didn't come to that!
