I'm assuming that its copper, since the town is called Copperhill.......

It's iron ore. Way back, when they mined and processed the copper, they also dug up lots of medium grade iron ore, about 60% - 70% pure. Since the good old USA had much higher quality iron ore elsewhere, it was literally thrown away. They made mountains of the stuff. It's chemical name is Calcine. Now fast forward to around the year 2000, we were approached to transport this iron ore to a large, industrial country that has no natural source of iron ore. Guess who? CHINA. So now we are actually selling something TO China for a change. We bring it to CSX-Etowah, they ship it to near Mobile, AL, it's loaded on a freighter ship and taken to China, and TVRM's Hiwassee Division makes the money.
