Hmmm what is burning? The lube oil and grease on the rails and ties? Seems unusual to see
a fire actually on the rails!

The trackworker takes his shovel and scoops a kitty-litter type substance, spreading it along the rail near a pulled apart joint. The fire expands the rail, then it can be rebolted or repaired.
