Posted by Georg Trüb on January 11, 2014  @ Peter: The answers are yes and no. The Gem 4/4 has more power output in diesel mode. Another reason, if there is wind, the snow from the blower could lower the pantograph. The overhead wire is under tension (1000 V DC) during snow blowing.
