Gritty, dirty, sootie steam locomotives on a maze of yard rails cluttered with cinders in the mid 1950's...what a lucky person you were John! Thanks for sharing!

The engines in the distance appear to be another PRR I1s along with a Santa Fe 5000-class engine, likely #5034 (the engine with the white water scale on the back of the boiler) which had been fired up for a Sandusky coal run. Look for associated shots posted here of engine #5034 and on YouTube where there is a 9-min. clip of #5034 working a train on a runby up to Sandusky from a Herron video.
