What a classic scene ! The older single floor trains heated with steam just seemed so great along with the smell of steam just added to the romance of trains as they traversed the rails of many different railroads. The many different spectacular views of towns ,rivers ,bridges ,canyons , kids riding bikes and people washing their cars and once in awhile a hobo traveling gypsy style added to the beauty of America's freedoms. I remember riding up in the domeliners and enjoying watching the train snake round the curves and heading into tunnels. In the night it was dark and the headlights up ahead would enlighten the way ahead and really be neat from a top row seat. Great scot what treasure,even a old mailbox and a weather beaten old rail freighthouse on the side that stills being used. Indeed a classy scene preserved. The sound of a train approaching a railroad crossing with bells ringing and then the sound being gradually faded as the train passed was always cool along with the steel wheels on sec track making cool beats.
