What a Great shot of a Very interesting consist! Also note that the lead engine, 3116 is missing the Rio Grande lettering on the nose! Common on engines painted in the "Billboard" lettering style with the large letters on the side.

It's my understanding that GP40-2s No. 3097, 3102, 3103, 3108, and 3116 had their noses touched up at Burnham without adding the nose logo.
