Does anyone know when they installed the 26L air system?

I don't really care for the 26-L/SA-26 automatic/independent brake valve stand and gauges, but a fantastic image nonetheless. Thanks for sharing.

Would love to take just one ride in one of these, and I would want it to be a cab ride. Doubtful that will ever happen, but it's nice to dream. Very interesting shot Franklin, and thank you for sharing your picture.

That's a pretty simple looking backhead for such an advanced locomotive. I guess I'm just used to oil burners.

Wow. Looks like a fairly simple cab for the size of the locomotive. Nice shot.

They installed the 26L when it was restored in the middle 80s.
