Hope it gets restored someday, the NdeM 4-8-4's are neat engines.

I do not understand. This is a modern, roller-bearing equipped, oil burner. It has no feed water heater. It is lighter than plenty of 2-8-2s, but looks big. It is particularly well proportioned. It appears to be the perfect fan trip locomotive, particularly for a regional or a class one or Staemtown. In fact in the interest of "diversity" Steamtown should operate this engine to balance the Canadians.

Here I am again, the newbie rail-fan who cannot figure out the way this locomotive would look when back together. I see the "cowcatcher"(?) in front but where is the cab ??? As I said, I am confused, but always willing to learn. Help, please..... Thanks for the picture, Mitch.

Tom, Tha cab has been removed for work (if it even exists) it would sit over the rear part of the firebox.

Tom, I provided links in response to your questions but RP didn't accept it for some reason. Instead, click the link in the caption above where it says "here" underlined. You might also search "NdeM" and /or "3028".

Thanks, Tugboat, but I still have a hard time visualizing what this would look like when reassembled.
