I've wondered for a long time "Where did the dynamic brake grids go?" They're often visible through the grilles on U25s and U28s. Checking GE diagrams, they're still in that area on later Us and (most) -7s, so why don't I see them? Checking U-series "phases", I realized why. The change from flush mesh to raised corrugated grilles with Ph2c makes them much harder to see through. This is the first time I've seen a later U in the right angle and light to *barely* see the grids inside.
