Nice shot! I never understood this switching move... The FL9 was added in Albany, so why not just remove the F40 there and let the FL9 do the work all the way into GCT? The only thing I can think of was maybe the FL9s were acting up in diesel mode as once they were rebuilt in the early 90s this practice stopped.
