Hard to beat that!

Great shot from south Dayton, Bob! Thanks for the memories, as Dayton is also famous for Bryan College (named for WJB), my alma mater (1972). Nothing like sitting up in Dr Jensen's Bible class up on Bryan Hill in the afternoon as the Southern whistled its way through town with the afternoon fleet. After classes it was always enjoyable to walk down to town and stop by the station and visit with Mr. Martin Treadway, the station agent and Mr. Kimbrough, the signal maintainer. Those were the days. Even got the last ticket purchased at Dayton for the Royal Palm to Chatty the second to last day it ran in 1969. Mr. Treadway lived in Chatty and picked me up, allowed me to sleep at his house, and drove me back the next day. Nothing like the rural south in the late 1960's
