Fine composition! To me, the old pole lines are an integral part of the traditional railroad look that we are losing. Who started calling these "code lines" anyway?

Excellent composition between the beautiful nature of the mountain along with the man made structure of the railroad pole line. I have to agree with the above comment as to why these are called code lines. There were four basic electrical circuits used along railroads - telegraph, telephone, controlling (signaling), and power.
