Purely out of curiosity, what does turning the ditch lights off do for the shot?

I second the above comment. Although thoughtful of the engineer, I feel shots look much better with the ditchlights left on. It gives the photo a more action filled feel.

I find with the ditch lights off, or the headlights dimmed it tends to give less of a glare for the shot. However, I have to agree with you Tim. I prefer them on for a more action feel as well.
