Wouldn't cost that much to sand blast and repaint . Wait mush longer , and will be really expense as bondo will be needed to fill in holes . Al BN engr .

What's REALLY SCARY is being able to clearly remember when these were BRAND NEW and just being placed into service, replacing tired, but far better looking (and sounding) , E units.

Call me crazy, but it would be a lot better of this unit was taken to Beech Grove, Indiana to be converted to NPCU 90307.

This unit should have been converted into a non powered control unit instead of letting it undergo restoration.
