The Canadian National tracks are no longer in place even in West Bend anymore. The last time I went down that way, the tracks were removed in West Bend but unknown of how far south of that they may have been in place.

Neat consist and train. SD45's without dynamic brakes look odd, but interesting. Hey Athearn, now there's one to offer, hint hint!

Just a guess but the CNW used to run a GBPRT fairly early in the morning out of Green Bay a few days a week in that era. The train was normally pretty short with just a few TOFC. The longest one I remember was 16 cars and a handful was more common. That train normally took the Lake Shore line from Tavil down but as with anything CNW at that time I'm sure that there were exceptions. As far as the rack of Fords...it probably was routed to Green Bay by accident and was taking the quickest way out of there.

That is such an overpowered train! Nice photograph Mike!
