As an Amtrak engineer in zone 12,I worked out of LA.I used to operate some San Diegan trains, and 35/36 through here.Looking at this photo,I don't recognize a thing here! What tracks are those to the far right?

Gordon, things have changed a bit in Fullerton! The mainline is now triple-tracked through here, with Mains 1 and 2 (the mainline closest to the station and the center main) continuing to the east, and Mains 2 and 3 diverging to San Diego. The station also has Track 4, which is what you see off to the right. This is a stub-end spur, with a passing siding (visible in this shot) that diverges off the Amtrak / Metrolink trackage that heads south to San Diego. This track is used by Metrolink for their Fullerton to Laguna Niguel / Mission Viejo shuttles, so that they can lay over without interfering with Amtrak and BNSF movements. Trains run for Angels baseball games also lay over here as well.
