A 300' climb yes, but you really nailed the photo!

The maximum elevation is 208 feet so maybe 300 feet refers to the diagonal distance you climbed. Still the highest railway trestle in West Virginia.

Had he said a nearly 600' climb, that would have been correct also as that's what one will think after the trek. Excellent pic of a rare locale not often seen by the masses.
