A classic angle and great shot!

Nice shot, Dennis! I'm glad the Louisville & Nashville RR could help out, too. That auxiliary tender behind the 765's tank is a former L&N "Big Emma" tender, from one of the Lima engines built in 1949. The coal bunker, of course, was removed and plated over so it's essentially a tank car now (or what the N&W called a "canteen").

Excellent spot, with the angle of the branch, the curve of the distant hillside, and the curve of the steam plume all lining up!

A man on a mission - and a successful one at that! Great shot, Dennis. Great show - NS and FWHS!

Killer spot, Dennis! Now and then, there's a shot worth going the extra mile for and it looks like all of that mileage paid off here. Congrats on getting the classic shot of THE curve!
