Erick, this is more simple than one might think. I'm simply looking out the end door window on the first car of the train (which had just enough of a clean spot to get a photo without smudges). The photo was taken at 18mm, and somewhere around a shutter speed of 1/50th. HHP-8s are the only locomotives this works for on Amtrak. I'll also note that it was taken with permission; as doing so without proper credentials and/or crew awareness would likely raise some eyebrows.
