This SURE LOOKS like a LOT MORE AUTHENTIC CNJ unit than that overly green, bright and shiny RS-3 they turned out a while back. As the classic car hobby has come around to believing in the past few years, "Preseve the Patina !"

Give it time, Rich - in a decade or so - after this unit is repainted into DL&W colors, this too will have earned a patina. Thing to remember - every engine was new once - some more then once, lol.

Black and white, this could be 1955. Very nice.

It could be 1955 as is, in color! Sure felt like so. The overhead safety lights probably are the only thing that give the scene away.
