Thanks, Mitch. When I was going to school in Lancaster in the 60s, the station platforms were always a nice quiet place to sit and read/study in the fall and spring when the weather was nice. An occasional excellent diversion would be watchiing long freights roar through on the (now removed) middle 2 tracks, powered by multiple GG1s or E44s. The sad relics of Pennsy's Juniata and Duquesne to/from Pittsburgh also added interest. You could sit there as long as you wanted and nobody would bother you.
