Is that an ex BN SD40B visible above the CSX units cab or are my eyes playing tricks The dynamics are where the cab would normally be.

Good shot! Took me a bit of looking til I realized there was a B unit in the shot; just above the cab of the CSX unit.

This photo was taken from a small county road that has a bridge over the tracks. The bridge however is not small and has a parking lane on each side of the roadway. There you can park your vehicle and photograph the action safely all day without harassment from the railroad or the local authorities. There is also no chain-link fence or railroad obstructions to work around. Sure wish other railroad yards had that. If you visit there look for "Knox County Hwy #10" or "Township Rd #213" about 2 miles south of downtown. Enjoy.
