The light gray gravel in the foreground is actually just an access road. However, the old PRR MU yard that once existed on the opposite side of the NEC (approximately where the NJT Arrows are in this photo) has been restored to hold maintenance equipment. I assume this is part of the ongoing tie replacement project in this area.
