Described to a T what the image appear to be, lol. Glad to see the Valley is working hard to keep #40 available for service - one of the most beautiful 2-8-2's there ever was. Elegance in a word.

I love the reference as well. And yes she is fine looking. I must mention to those who do not know, this locomotive is truly unique. This is because no other standard gauge steam locomotive in the world has ever had Dennis Livesey as an engineer. :-)

She is quite a beauty. Thank goodness A&R preserved her a those years. I've always wondered why railroads would have covered space, etc. and rush to scrap historic steamers while they allowed junk boxcars and every other kind of scrap steel to lay around for years.
