YUCK!

I saw it when it stopped in Salt Lake City, it is way ugly.

My sincere sympathies to those in Washington and Oregon who will have the burden of watching one of these sets pass by. And you're right about "committee". The Talgo cab car as designed by Talgo in Spain and proposed to Amtrak was quite nice looking. I hear there is a naming contest - I'm submitting "Medusa".

Cascadeous?

About twenty years too late for the "Mighty Ducks". What a shame!

When I saw the thumbnail, I was certain this was a photo from the 70s. Then I clicked on the link and was horrified when I saw "April 15, 2013." WHAT IN THE WORLD?! hahaha

Don't drink and design trains kids.

It's pretty obvious...The Popemobile!

The engineer will need a brown bag over his head.

I kind of like it...reminds me of Mater from the Cars movies!
|
For me, it's the Mutt Cutts van from Dumb & Dumber.
|
It looks a bit like the power cars used in Talgo's native Spain. The Spanish ones look better, though.

I agree with Eric. Needs a set of buck teeth.

Very ugly. I wish we have designers like Dreyfuss, Kuhler or Loewy. Unfortunately today's designers don't have a taste. Ugly trains, ugly automobiles....
|
Did Talgo supply the extra trash cans needed on station platforms for when people see these and lose their stomach?
|
I don't know why you guys think it looks ugly. Looks pretty fine to me. It was supposed to be more streamlined but thanks to the FRA it had to look like this. Great photo by the way!
