I can only imagine the dedication it requires to hike to the top of a desert mountain for such a shot! Excellent results, though! Spectacular! PCA!

Nice view capturing the wide-open nature of the landscape here. Actually, this location is virtually in Ludlow and Lavic is a few railroad miles west.

Your right Paul, my description was misleading - that turn is not Lavic. Lavic is located at M.P. 702.7 which in the picture is on the horizon at the far left, whereas the head end is located at about M.P. 694.6 - very close to Ludlow at M.P. 693.4. Thanks for pointing that out.
