Looks to be as unhealthy on a persons lungs as it was for the man who mined it. Having asthma all my life, I couldn't imagine working in this type of enviroment. Back then, asthma wasn't considered a serious ailment. Either you wanted the job or you didn't. I have a feeling that my love for steam locomotives would have driven me to tolerate it as long as possible. I don't know. A 55 gallon drum of Mean Green and a pressure washer, this could be a completely different photo. I truly enjoy your collection of PRR. Just when I think I saw your finest, you post more fantastic photos. How many more do you have!
