Just wondering.. can someone tell me why it was at the end ?? Was it safety reasons due to the live flame, presentation protocol, and they sure must have had a whole lot of VIP's on this train. Can one assume lots of security people were close and just not visible in the picture ?? Most unusual subject matter and nice shot, no doubt.....

I would have to assume it would be the occupied cars ahead of a car with a lot of natural gas and a open flame that dictated train placement.

As a student conductor on the UP in 1996, we had that car at the end of a westbound stack train. Every train we passed asked us on the radio "Whattya got back there?!? A float?!?"
