With a little paint and duct tape it will be as good as new...sort of...
Stop and think about all of the history, the lives that were changed, because of this bridge and tunnel. It gives you alot to think about doesn't it?
And Mother Nature reclaims what has always been hers in the first place.

Plenty of footing there to make a crossing! Looks like those steel beams are still pretty solid. :-)

Otherwise known as the Tweetsie - pretty wild to find parts of an abandoned narrow gauge line in TN!

Beautiful picture Nick. Thanks for making the hike so we can all enjoy this great TN scenery

I had no idea the track and bridges were still in place; I thought the line had been scrapped. Over 60 years since narrow gauge steam engines have traveled these rails; long live the Tweetsie!

Eh, I've crossed worse. Just stick to the metal beams in the beginning, then it gets easier. Be brave, because I want to see more of this line.

Nick I can see an entire series on this narrow gauge ET&WNC in your future! Nicely done!
