Why does one of the passenger cars have a pantograph?

Well spotted! The RhB found that the locos were not supplying enough amps to heat some of the longest trains in winter. They therefore fitted a number of baggage vans with transformers to supply electricity to heat/light the trains, these were introduced a year or two ago. They are also able to supply heat to carriages when a locomotive is not attached to the train.
