Amazing photograph, Mike! Question is: Did you hike up there to get a shot of a train you knew was coming or did you hike up there only hoping while you were up there a train would in fact come?

Mitch: We hiked up there knowing the train was operating. It used to run once a week on Fridays (it is now on Sundays). After a morning of photographing the dirt train out of Helper, we discovered that the Potash local was running late that day. We decided to hike up to this location for the southbound run to Potash, and waited up there for the return; this is one of the photos of the return trip.

An educated guess but I am sure he knew the train was coming.

I wondered where my Z-Scale train set ended up.

Stunning scenery. The geology is amazing in this shot. Cool!
