I feel like the gray should be darker... but then again, maybe I've just seen too many new units.

I told them the same thing and the reply was that they used the same tint of grey as the grey they used for the center band on the passenger cars due to limited funds.

The picture is really good, and enjoyed reading the history lesson behind the numbering system. I'm quite familiar with 8444. Had no idea that 844 and 8444 were the same locomotive. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
